I need the center for the dash pad chrome for a 68 Firebird. This is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches long that goes between the long chrome on the dash pad. Any one have this item.
I have two 68 Firebirds: 68 convertible ls2, auto 4L60E, red interior, white/black power top. I have owned since 1971. 2) 68 coupe, aqua/white tope. aqua interior, 350 4 speed. I am restoring this car and it will be for sale. Before paint or after.

I sent Gus my xtra one a couple of years ago. Not easy to find just that piece.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I purchased a 68 coupe without that piece. It is hard to find. I can purchase a new one, however, -------

Hello I do have the piece your looking for in my garage I just have to locate it. I will look for it this weekend not sure what its worth so when I find it I will let you know ad make a offer. send a pm or whatever.

This is not by chance the white plastic "clip" that secures the center dash panel trip piece (around the radio/ashtray)?
If so - I was thumbing through my new Classic Industries Firebird catalog last night and noted they sell this item as a reproduction.

No this is the short chrome piece that connects the chrome on the dash pad itself. I can find the complete set but need just the 1 to 2 inch piece. Thanks,
