Greetings
I am new to the group. I used to belong back in the 90's. I am trying to find my old 68 RA I Firebird and see if whoever is the owner would like to sell it. The vin is 223378U126570. I't a Starlight Black, black deluxe int, original drive train front to back. Any info would be appreciated.
Right now I own a red 67 400 4 spd 390 Firebird. I have a 461 stroker with RA II #96 heads and RA IV intake that will be going in soon.
Thanks, Jim

Welcome!

Just curious what you have as far as cam and exhaust?

I've got a factory 400 that I'm cloning into a Ram Air II car. I've got the heads(SR), carb(rebuilt by Cliff Ruggles), repop Long Branch manifolds from RARE, 3.90 posi setup, 9794234 intake, and a PQ TH400 transmission.

I'm going with a '70 400 4 bolt main block but haven't decided on crankshaft/camshaft combination yet. I thinking of running it in the FAST class in June of 2016. Still looking for a nodular rear end like someone else here.

Well, right now the engine in the car is a .040 over 68 400 block with my original 670 heads, performer intake, 780 Holley, headers, RA IV (041) cam, M20, 3.90 Safe T Track. The best 1/4 mile time is a 13.60 @104 mph. I have another engine sitting on the engine stand that is going in real soon. It's a 71 400 block, Stroked Eagle forged crank, Forged H-beam rods, 68 #96 RAII heads, RAiv intake(9796611), Comp Cam (don't have the specs tight in front of me), Flame Thrower billet electronic distributor. It has 461 cubes. I guess I'll be running headers since I can't find any long branch round port manifolds. I am seriously considering going to a taller gear, like 3.55's, and an M21 instead of the M20. So I guess mine will be a RAII clone also, even though they didn't make one in 67.
