68 bird that i'm tired of scraping on my driveway, and I can't fix that easy.. LOL

It has a dse leaf mini tub kit in it with a 2 inch drop.. im thinking of going with a 1 inch drop by buying springs from summit.. or stock ride hight springs. The dse kit has 175 pound springs... and I do like the firm ride it has. Anyone know what siffness the OER stuff is? or does anyone have aftermarket 175 pound springs?

thanks for any advice you can give.

I don't know if this even option but if all you want is one more inch then could a taller shackle on the back work?

How steep is you driveway? What is scraping under the car?

Depends on how your car was configured from the factory. There were 98, 106( I think) and the heavy ones were 126 lbs leaf springs.

I have hotchkis springs and I love the ride height. My VT mufflers hang down a little more then I like and door hit if I hit a big bump but I can live with it.

hmm.. according to dse;s site the 2 inch drop springs are 175 pounds.. seems like alot more

keep in mind I do have 650 HP and 315 r35 17inch good year f1 tires.... hooks pretty good, lot of down force on launch, and the battery is in the trunk. ...

in the front i have qa1 adjustable hight coilovers... no problem there

i have the vt dyno max also... hang down a bit, and they hit.. i have electronic cutouts, they don't hit...

speed bumps scare me and I will hit mufflers. and they are tucked almost touching the floor..

what do you mean your door will hit with a big bump??

Call Eaton Detroit Spring. Their DS01 springs are a 175 lb. rate. I had a pair on a car a while back. They will arch the springs to your specifications - either above or below stock ride height.
I have Hotchkis on my car now. Like them.

I have a pair of Landrum leaf springs on my 69. The guy I bought them from said they are 200# in their current configuration. Ride height is pretty good. Maybe a touch high for my liking. Sits about like a 1.5" drop. I'm hoping as they settle in they wil drop a bit. He said he had talked to the company and they told him if you remove the bottom leaf it would drop the rate to 175#. I might give it a try one of these days as the 200 is a bit over the top.
