ok another easy one I hope. Again have to ask before I get a BFH.
Fixing trunk floor so need to remove cocktail shakers - they dont quite seem to want to slide out.
Is there a trick? Which way should they tilt out? I assume tilt feet first towards the center of trunk? If so I'm gonna need a mallet I think. Just dont want to damage anything.

I remember putting mine back in and scraping the hell out of the freshly painted trunk floor.
I didn't remember having too much difficulty taking them out. To many years ago now.

I found a sweet spot in the floor by lifting up and then moving the bottom about 45 degree toward the rear.

Thanks for suggestions
I don't mind scraping anything at this point - just don't want to damage the (now I understand to be almost irreplaceable) shaker or bend the lip of the trunk that the bracket is around. I'll try the 45deg towards the rear.

One came out ok - the other is by a worse spot in the floor and it just wont come out. I'll probably end up cutting the floor around it out - although I noticed that underneath the shaker is a reinforced piece attached to the frame. I wonder if they make that support piece.

I know my reinforcement plates have a stamped ID on them. I would find another way to get that out before you cut that. Should be able to tilt them and slide out?

I have a 69 and maybe the wider quarters allow for a little more wiggle room? Not sure about that.
