1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible! - NOT A 400 CAR - Easy project car 400 ci / 4peed / 4bbl / PS / 400 hood / NO AC
********** 400 CI and 4 speed * When I purchased the bird I was told it was removed from 68 GTO and rebuilt. (NOT SURE) * Motor runs strong and will burn the tires off the car. Could use a carburetor adjustment (Brand new) * Good compression * Drum brakes all around.
******** Interior and Exterior * Seats / Buckets / Console / Carpet / Door Panel are in decent condition no rips or tears * No rust in floors / Trunk - one Piece floor panel installed 3 years ago. * Aftermarket 400 Hood and Tack - Tack not installed * Fiberglass or Bondo under the doors / around the top lip on the passenger side rear quarter * Driver side quarter was replaced. All locks work with one key.
Now for the Bad News. The Paint sucks on the car -- Something got in the clear and f-it-up bad. Missing top panel for hiding the rails in the back seat. (See Pictures) Need power steering pulley installed Convertible Bow needs worked on or replaced ($200 on ebay) Convertible frame is in great condition. Needs top installed (Est. 2k) Chrome is in average condition. Heater control is in-op – needs cables. Digital tack is not going with car – you can see it on the console – POS. No seatbelts. I lost interest in the bird. I need to move on. I want a pre – 1940 Street Rod I feel my bird is worth 13k Best way to reach me is mycorve77e@hotmail.com
