Looking for recommendations on which shocks I should buy to replace the factory shocks on my single-leaf 67 bird. I don't want to modify the body or factory look, just want it to ride better than a hay wagon. If it makes a difference, it is a convertible.
Thanks in advance!

I will probably get flamed for this, but when Edelbrock discontinued the IAS line, I figured I better do the research and line up replacements in advance.
Totally based on, "Oh what the heck", I discovered that Koni makes shocks for FGF's.
Beyond that, there are a lot of people here that like they KYB shocks.
2012 Mustang Boss 302 #1918, Competition Orange. FGF replacement 2006 Mustang V6 Pony, Vista Blue. Factory ordered. 2019 BMW X3 (Titled to the wife, but I'm always driving it for her. So I'm claiming it) Old projects, gone but not forgotten: 1967 FB 400, original CA car. After 22 years of work, trashed by the guy who was supposed to paint it. I had to sell it. 1980 Turbo Trans Am 1970 Mustang fastback, 351C 4Bbl, auto 1988 Mustang GT, 5 speed 1983 F-150 4x4, built 302 1994 Chevy K2500 HD 4x4, 454 TBI

Thing about the KYBs is gas shocks tend to be a bit harsher. Not as easily collapsed on impact with a bump so a bit more jarring than say a hydraulic shock would be. I've read that gas shocks add up to 40 pounds in spring rate to your existing leaf spring rate. Just a couple of things to consider. Hard to find a good hyd Shock these days. All modern cars use gas shocks I believe. I've got a practically new set for sale if anyone is looking..

KYB's on all four corners of my '68. I agree, can be a little harsh on rough roads.
Thanks, Dennis
