Hey guys, just curious on what aftermarkets you guys have had the best luck with? Running MSD, any that have been known to work better then others with that set up? Thinking about one from The Parts Place, cant remember if it was on here or another site, but read somewhere guys having good luck with them.
Car has a "tall 67" style tach that came with it, just figured it wasn't correct to car, although after searching around on here seems as though there were some early 68's that came with the "tall" style? My 68 was built in October of 67, maybe that is correct, any suggestions on best place to have one rebuilt, needle does not move on it?

Just a FYI for anyone out there looking for a Hood Tach or having issues with MSD, I contacted Randy at RC Tach Shop from the info Harold gave me and ended up ordering a new 68 Tach from him and he assured me it would work with MSD. Received it in mail, had it painted, hooked it up and everything worked perfect, no adapters needed! Thanks for the info Harold!
The Tachs he builds are the higher priced ones Ames sells and really seem like a nice setup. Sealed up real nice, and according to a RPM calculator I found online and the rear end I have, its reading spot on!!

So does Andy at RC Tach Shop buy the tachs and then reworks it to make them work correctly or is he just re-saling them?

He told me that he reproduces them and sells them to companies such as Ames, Year One, and NPD etc. and that they will work with any ignition out there.

Also, if you order from him it’s about a $40 savings vs buying his from Ames!
