I want ask where you guys go for exterior mirrors if you own a 1969 firebird?
See, 12 years ago I bought some from leading supplier. They are now useless. Will not stay in position. When driving down the road they flop all around. Frustrated with this major safety issue I contacted the people I bought them from. They are based somewhere back east, I think in New England. After waiting over a week for a reply I received a short and blunt message. " We have inquired with the vendor and they will not replace them for us".
Huh....

Mirror frustrations bother us all. I recently switched to the Morris classic mirror. They are not original, nor period correct but they will not move. After looking at their construction, you might be able to modify what you currently have (worth a shot). I also remember there might be an episode of “autoresto mod†on YouTube where they take apart a mirror from a 69 Camaro and tighten up the ball and socket.
