67 bird. I just picked up a repop ram air hood pan to put on my original 400 hood. I was hoping it would just fit up in the correct spot but it looks like it needs to be put in the correct position and drilled for the bolts. Anybody have a template or advice on how to place it?

OK. I've been looking at the above thread and I not sure I understand why the hood bracing needs to be cut. Is that to clear the foam seal?

I hacked up my hood. It caused me pain but it had to be done. The dealers had to do that on the ram air birds. It wasn’t installed at the factory. It would be interesting to see on an original ram air hood how neatly they cut it

I have seen a few RA hoods that were trimmed for the pans. They actually did a pretty nice job on the ones I've seen. Not really sure how they accomplished it though. That is a very tough go when it's all together.

Definitely need the hood removed and laying down. My son is storing his mattress in my garage. It came in handy. He doesn't need to know. I brushed off all the metal chips.
