well just as I thought,I took Off the Intake and valley cover off tonight and my hunch was right, the rear of my valley pan was leaking, running out the back threw the bellhousing and making it look like the rear main or oil pan was leaking.I dont have a roller cam, just your stock lifters so my question is should I use my o.e.m. valley pan that has the baffle or stay with the butler aluminum, using the cork gasket they sent me and use THE RIGHT STUFF sealer on It.what do you think,?also would you use the stock type mr.gasket intake gaskets or the felpro superseal and do you always put a little around the rubber o-ring. thanks
I have the aluminum one, and will be switching back to stock. (I'll use this one on my other motor) It has a leak now, and next time, I'll polish and seal it. I may also tap it for the PCV as I have a threaded baffeled one to use when I do. I've had some problems with building too much pressure at points (usually Higher speeds) and spewing oil out where ever it could... so I'll clean things up and switch back and see if that fixes the leaks and the uneven pressure?
Some have said that if you run breathers in both valve covers it helps? But I like mine to look kind of stock until you really start looking...
