Hey everyone, its been a few years since I posted here. I saw the info and articles about Fast N Loud "restoring" the first two FGFs and the client being an owner of a Pontiac Museum in North Dakota. I'm trying to find info on this client and where this museum is suppose to open. I live in ND and at this time I'm unaware of any Pontiac museum here. We have a few small classic car museums maybe with a few Pontiacs. But this sounds like something new to me. I'm aware of a 69 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am being owned and/or stored by a car dealership. I'm speculating that the owner may POSSIBLY be opening this museum. Or it could possibly be one of the oil tycoons that are booming in my state right now. The growth and increase of housing has been crazy on the western side of ND. I would love to visit these cars in the museum. I just need to find out where this museum will be located. If I find out anything thru local sources etc, I'll let you know and will follow this thread to see if anyone else finds out.

I got to see episode 1 and 2 tonight at a friends house.
Best not to let the made for Hollywood factor bother us too much.
Great to see the cars looking good again.

I'm thinking as far as correctness - they were just doing them close enough to get them back in 1 piece and a completed form. NOT counting the red -oxide underbellies , which was a major big foul.
They aren't concours - but they are restored.

Some quick things -
BOTH cars were built with Wire Hubcaps and Whitewall Radial Tires
They used 68 Hubcaps , Rally 2's with wrong color lugs and centers , and RWL tires that didn't come out on Pontiacs until 1970. The tire / wheel packages really rocked the boat to me.

Hardtop was built with a Hood Tach. and Wood Wheel that i didn't see.
Don't remember if i saw wheel opening moldings on Hardtop either.
Both had Rear Antenna - would have to watch again - but don't remember seeing any antennas

A little more research, parts sourcing, and massaging - they'll be ready for the big time.

The best thing about the show was now I know what my car is supposed to look like. IF they got the Silverglaze correct.

They used 67 red center lug nuts and red PMD center which were correct in 67.

I like the show but they are the wrong people for a concurs restoration.

Who is making all the money? I think all the nos tossed around are just BS.

Nice to see a Firebird on TV though.

Something wrong with the paint on the red car, has a haze to it. And if you look down the side you can see the bodywork underneath already popping out.

Red lug nuts are urban myth from some old pre-publicity 67 GTO ads.
Fed to the masses for decades via parts catalogs as correct for 67.
Debunked years and years ago.

Red centers didn't come out until mid 1970 model year production.

Neither are correct for 1967 Firebirds.

I saw a flat Bird emblem on the gas cap door, I thought all had the finger pull Bird, which is somewhat hard to find.

Wanting a Custom fit in an off the rack world.

I don't have time for a job, I just need the money.

'68's had the finger pull. The '67s were flat. (I've heard that late production '67s may have phased in the finger pull type.)

What about the missing wedge door shims that the convertible should have had? Lower front valance panels? Ordered with full size spares? Most of mine had the space saver spares..... Rear trunk lid seemed high in one of the shots...

Usually don't like digging up the dead, but guess what I saw on Season 2 Episode 10 of Garage Rehab? Either he's been sitting on them, or he's storing the pair for the new owner(s) as part of the Gas Monkey museum/showroom.
