Hey guys, I'm out of Maryland. I've got a '69 Firebird 350, 400 turbo trans auto. It ran several years ago when parked, probably needs a little work now... Body is solid. Starting to rust a bit here and there. I'll attach a few pictures. Just curious how much you think she's worth if I were to ever sell her??
Hard call, looks like maybe a Chevy engine? A rough guess IF it has the original engine in it (350) anywhere between $7K-$12k depending how original overall it is and under carriage, etc. If its a chevy engine deduct $1k at least.
Yes, Pontiac engine with wrong paint color. 350 2bbl /w auto, std interior in vg condition. Is that a build sheet on the rear floor? Check the date of battery will tell you when it was parked. Critters got in the car and under the hood. Probably got into the body as well so more inspection required. It's what the underneath looks like that will be telling. Nice car $2k - $8k depending on condition.

Ok great thanks guys. I wonder if its matching numbers than and someone just got handy with the red paint. I'm not sure what thats all about. But yea everything is there. I'd have to check undercarriage for rust Im not sure
There are a couple different versions of "worth". One version is what is its value as in insurance. Figure probably 10K based on those pictures. Maybe more depending on who is doing it.
The other version is what can you sell it for. That one is much more complicated. IF its a numbers matching car that will help. Don't listen to those 350 haters. If it's a 350 car with the original 350... that's a good thing. A 350 will still rock and roll!!! Not as good as a 400 but still good. Ditto on the TH400. Should be a TH350 or 2 speed. If its not a numbers matching car, well than it just became a perfect candidate for a 400 and you can forget all that 350 stuff!!
2 biggest factors in selling a car like this are lack of rust, which it sound like you are still figuring out? And getting it running. It is amazing how much more you will get for a running car. Even if it runs poorly.
So get it running. You can probably get it running for a few hundred buck and the investment will be worth a few thousand!

Someone probably rebuilt engine for some reason at some point and a small shop did it or , DIY job, had red paint, decided to paint it when it was out....my 400 enigine , not original to the car was rebuolt installed by PO into my car and he decided to paint it BRIGHT YELLOW! we,ll, needless to say I had it re painted , in place, with brush on Hisrch paint...very tedious job in place, , long skinny brush....fromtop not hard, under...not recommending it...lol
