I'm replacing the rear end, leafs, shocks, adding CalTracs and sub-frame connectors.

I usually jack the rear up either by the rear end or where the front leafs attach to the body, but since neither of those is an option, where the heck would be the best place to put the jack stands under the car?

Thanks!

When I replaced my leaf springs and rear end stuff, I used a 4x4 across the frame rails in the trunk area (however my tank was out of the car) with a jack stands. Another option is a small 4x4 on a jack stand along the outside edge of the rockers where it meets the floor in front of the rear wheels. However you need to have enough weight in the front of the car or it will tip backwards.

I still jack it up by the rearend, but put the stands where 4dabird stated. I also chock the front wheels so it doesn't roll forward.

FYI: Subframe connectors must be installed with the car properly sitting on all 4 wheels.

I also supported my body shell with a 4x4 under the back of the rocker panels and a couple of pieces of 2X4 at the ends of the 4X4 to allow the 4X4 to clear (and not crush) the floor pans.

Correct, same for adjusting the CalTracs and tightening the rear leaf shackles.

Thanks. I'll be taking measurements for the length to go under the rocker panels on each side today.

Yeah, good catch on salmon's side. Was really thinking only about the rearend swap. As you said, for the other stuff, the weight needs to be on the wheels when installed.
