Howdy all,
In the course of building my 400, needed to buy all new hardware. Decided to share my sketch I used to determine bolts sizes and locations for the timing cover and water pump. Costs half as much to buy stainless steel from Lowes or Home Depot than the ARP bolt set. Used metric washers as their footprint was a little smaller. Planning on using blue thread locker as well.
Modifications: I cut the 3" TC bolts down to 2-1/2" to fit properly.
The timing cover is a Butler conversion timing cover. I have a 1967 but this is modified to take the 11-bolt 1968 water pump.
