Happy Holidays everyone! Hope I’m not the only one putzing around on Xmas...
I’ve been trying to figure this out for a long time and just want to get to the bottom of it. Can anyone help me figure out what’s going on with front of my ‘69 coupe? I don’t know if it’s just adjustments or if something is missing or wrong parts. But I can tell that something isn’t right. The nose of the car just doesn’t meet up with the fenders and there are bigger gaps than should be there.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks!

69 nose pieces are notorious for not lining up because there are about a thousand different adjustments that can be done but none of them seem to do the trick. It's just s 9 thing.

Boy did I have fun fixing this on my 69! Can you post a photo of the whole front end? Your hood to fender gaps are tight if anything. I think if you remove the the headlight rims and surrounds you will be able to line the surrounds up much better and reposition where the fasteners go in. I didn't worry about factory fastener positions but put the screws in where they would hold the positions I wanted. It worked out pretty well.

Lots of adjustment on the parts, I replaced the surround on mine, the p.o. used the old surround that he tried to repair, didn't last. I purchased the new surround parts, painted, than took it all apart one saturday had it back together by the late afternoon. started with the main brackets hand tight an worked from there, you have to keep looking back at all the parts adjusting as you go. I have a little more space on the passenger side fender clearance to adjust, I will have to take apart to repair a chip area by the lower edge where bumper meets surround. That what happen when I left it too loose to where it was moving around to much.
