Well, never thought I'd bash Ames, but as the old story goes...you don't know how good a company is until you really need them. I've dealt with Ames for 32 years, -wow, how time flies. Spent thousands as you can imagine, and in all these years had 1 complaint.
The carpeting I bought from them made by ACC I installed over a year ago and its crappy! Looks shaggy and soft and starting to just fall apart with maybe 1000-1500 miles on it. Ames replied that they are willing to help, but after providing more details as requested, pictures and receipt I got radio silence, as to be expected. Sent 2 more emails to inquire about the progress or whether the needed add'l info, no response. Contacted ACC, no response.
So back to Year One for me or NPD. Sorry Ames, after the PY fusion seems they got too big to provide adequate customer service. This should have been an easy exchange, even though it was just outside the warranty window if they would have went just a little out of their way.
Used them quite a bit, no issues with their carpet. I think they will send samples too for color check.
Also had the best price by far when I ordered mine.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. I know your frustration but with NPD they are just parts guys and very Rude by the way. One guy told me they were very busy and I would half to wait. Called back and there attitude is Like why are you bothering me. Wish I could find a reasonable priced company with good customer service myself. Just Saying

Unfortunately, wherever you buy carpet nowadays it all comes from ACC. Trim parts used to make carpet but sold out to ACC in 2017 or 2018. I agree with you on the quality lacking part, but I guess if you're the only supplier that part doesn't matter as much. Rock Auto usually has the best price on ACC carpet but they have limited options and no samples or help.
Good luck with year one!!! I have been trying to get them to answer a phone for almost 2 weeks now with long wait times. I also sent an e mail yesterday and no response!! I really am trying to order from them and ask a few questions but I hope they are still in business
