hoping for some technical insight, I have a 67 Firebird with a 68 WZ 400 HO, I assumed by looking that I had a 90 degree oil filter housing and purchased the RARE long branch exhaust manifolds, after dissasembly I find I seem to have a 120 degree oil filter assembly? it doesn't seem to match the extension block I also got from RARE, the only 90 degree I see on the market is from Butler and I couldn't get them to confirm that it would fit other than a roundy round email about Pontiac didn't make one for ram air.....before I spend $125 bucks for a piece of aluminum I would like to know if I'm purchasing the correct [censored] part.............anyone out there put the RARE long branch on a 67 and if so what did you find and please be specific.....can I perhaps use the small diameter filter etc...........thanks
I bought everything from RARE and fit was excellent. I believe the filter housing was 90 degrees.

Buy blkjudges one. That’s the ticket. Then use the aluminum adapter they sell to rotate it towards the firewall and then any oil filter will work. I put long branch on my bird a while back
I can't see why the big car oil filter angle wouldn't work with the RARE adapter. The one shown for sale is the orig type and will absolutely work but it seems to me the one you have should work as well. The adapter block will space it out from the block about3/4-1". Should be plenty to clear anything in that area. I've never done it so I could be wrong.
