I was lucky enough to find the original idle stop solenoid (1114423) for my 68 400 4 speed. It was at the bottom of a box I got with it.
Does any know of a person or shop that’s able to rebuild it?
I’ve attached a picture of it.

No on the rebuild. But I was thinking Ames or somebody was repopping those now.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Unfortunately the reproduction ones were pulled off of the market - guess they didn't work too well.
If anyone has a lead on one that works to replace this one, I'm definitely interested.

Those things rarely fail, how did you test it? Might just be gunked up inside.

It appears you're correct! This is good news. I had this one looked over by an expert on them and it's functioning well now.

Glad to hear it Tom! I actually had an original one with the bracket for a 2bbl carburetor set-up (not sure if the 4bbl bracket is the same) but sold it probably 20 years ago for 75 bucks on Ebay...
