My 1969 Pontiac Firebird is all disassembled and body is on my rotisserie....... underneath and floors inside are cleaned to bare metal ( well mostly all bare metal.... few nooks and crannies that I can’t reach....... ) need some ideas on what to put on it.....?? Inside is like a rusty bare metal but solid only a few holes....... underneath is all bare metal and some old undercoating in areas where I can’t get in to remove it..... I do however have a few rust issues that I plan on just filling with....??? And then painting over it...... ( trying to get away without cutting and welding...... )
I also plan on painting the whole car but I’m going to paint it just so it has paint on it....... ( painting it right here in my garage....... ) can’t afford a “ professional paint job “ and it’s not a show car either.... I just want to drive it.... once some paint is on I can start reassembly...... all other parts are just about ready to go back on along with some goodies...... lol 😝

???? That is not original paint...... car has been repainted a few times and the last was a feeble attempt at a T/A .......??
No prep work..... all the blue is chipping off.... white has rust and body work coming through it...... both bottom and inside floors are bare metal as well as some spots here and there.......I’ve got it as bare as I could get it..... some nooks and crannies that I just can’t reach...... plan on going back all white with blue stripes...... thinking about using Raptor coating on the whole thing......?? Comes in white and blue aerosol cans......... fill all the holes 🕳 epoxy primer and then Raptor white over the whole body.......( plus the fenders and all the other parts of the car that need to be white...... )

With the Trans Am hood, white with blue stripes would be the obvious choice for me.

I agree, go back with the colors that were there prior. You seem wide open for suggestions on doing it on the cheap, so here it goes. Eastwood and others make a bunch of coatings to convert/ cover rust pretty well. You can also use a grinder/ wire brush wheel in a drill to get to metal and remove light rust then coat with an etching primer. If you are not real worried about perfection- take that drill and wire wheel and get what you can underneath then rattle can some undercoating.

FOr any holes that are good size, rivet some aluminum or tin in and then fiberglass it in.

For the panels that show- take your time on any body work and do lots of blocking and sanding to smooth the surface as best as possible, and I would look for someone who will paint on the side at your place for a way less rate than a shop. There are guys out there- you just got to look. If you cant find someone, get on a paint forum and start asking questions- guys are willing to give advice. Practice on junk then paint it yourself- doesn't have to be perfect on a low budget!

It’s a fiberglass hood and needs help..... not sure yet if it’s going back on....... maybe an aftermarket metal T/A hood.... but I was thinking about redoing it all white with the blue stripes...........just need to deal with the now bare metal..... and minor rust issues.........

Rather than rivets you can use 3m body panel adhesive to put the patch panels in. Super strong, it’s how new cars are put together. The cowl looks like it needs some work.

UPDATE.....
All bare metal is Raptor anti corrosive epoxy primer..... the bottom of the body is Raptor white..... sound deadener is going in...... all holes ???? are covered..... ( used metal from my parts car and glued them in...... so it is all 69 metal.... no Chinese metal...... lol ...... ) while paint was drying I disassembled the subframe and stripped it to bare metal....
