My carb (qjet) is of the 1979 variety and would like to know/see what is more correct. My fuel line enters the carb on the passenger side and don't know if this is correct. My car is an automatic and formerly had AC. I just recently removed the fast idle solenoid since I didn't think it was needed any more and want to try to get it idling/running better. That means either buying a rebuilt carb or getting this one repaired.

Passenger side fuel inlet = Chevy variant of the Qjet.

Pontiac all had front fuel inlets.

Thanks for the info. From my limited shopping for another carb I don't see any front inlet pieces.
