This is ONLY for the center of the horn cap. It is the Down wing version (67-69) Firebird. NOTE: it does NOT have the tail feather lines, AS IS CORRECT for the 69 Trans Am that uses the Formula steering wheel. This is a very close replica and great addition for your clone or early firebird with the formula wheel. The outer cap is NOT included. You are only receiving the emblem. These are NOT the cheap, flimsy, decals that some are selling. These are actual metal emblems, designed and manufactured for me, encased in a black background and clear coating to look very close to the originals. (Originals are next to impossible to find) as it was on an optional steering wheel (The formula wheel) for Trans Ams only made after September of 1969. 1970 went to the wings up version and did not use this center cap. The regular Firebird emblem has tail feathers as you can see in one of the pictures. I also included a picture of an original to compare. FREE SHIPPING!!!!!
That's a very nice touch. 20+ years ago I put a "wings up" Formula wheel I snagged out of a wrecking yard on my '69 because the stock deluxe wheel was falling apart. The Formula wheel literally fell right on. At the time I just needed a good steering wheel . I had no idea then that they were even an option for the '69 1st gen TA's.
I may have a spare Formula horn button with no center emblem I could decorate. Gotta go dig through the boxes. I'm interested. PM me with the details
