Don’t Shoot me!! I’m not patient enough to wait 4 to 6 months for a remanufactured Qjet. Have had good luck in the past with Edelbrock carbs. Has anyone ran an Edelbrock with spacer-adapter on a Qjet intake under the hood of a 67 or 68? Wondering about hood clearance. If not this combination, any experiences with the Holley Spreadbore carb Qjet replacement? Those are really expensive though…. How anbout the JET carburetors? Butler Performance list those Qjets on their site. Any thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, or criticisms are appreciated. Thanks.
Howdy, When I got my 68 18 years ago it had an Edelbrock 800 and an adapter plate on it. Fit no Problem. I've since replaced the Q-jet intake with an Edelbrock RPM. I had to install a drop down air cleaner to clear the hood with this manifold.
If you don’t mind building a Q-jet yourself, I’ve got one for a’72 Camaro/Corvette that appears pretty clean that I don’t need. If it could help let me know. Ron
