We have started using a service, Cloudflare, which helps protect the website from attacks from outside agencies which are trying to take over the website. It scan with what is called Bots and Crawlers which look for security breaches so they can do this. When they attack, they come in swarms which then slows the website down or causes it to throw the Concurrent Processes error message which many of you have seen over the years.

I have finally done something about it using Cloudflare. They detect this and block it. At times, they have to put us in attack mode which then throws up an additional prompt to confirm you are a human. This is us under attack by these bad actors.

I have attached a copy of the additional message when it deploys is a confirmation from Cloudflare that you are a human. Bots and Crawlers can not confirm this so it is the last line of defense when this happens. Right now it is not automatic as that is a paid service which I can not afford. I happened to notice we were under attack and threw the "switch" to enable the attack mode.

Last night, the bots and crawlers detected we had Claudflare so they went after the actual IP Address which Cloudflare cannot protect. I have to enable protection which requires my website hosting provider has to assist which I am working on and they are pushing back for some reason. Once deployed, we will have another line of defense for the direct IP Address attacks.

Crazy that 30 years ago I would be talking about this crap and the pain in the [censored] it is to manage.
