managed to get a nice set of rally gauges to replace the fuel/idiout lite setup. What wiring changes will I need to do (anyone have a diagram of each)?
Ammeter - hmm different connection to regulator? Oil - new sending unit, added wire? Fuel - should be OK Temp - new sending unit, added wire?
Anyone done this, I am just about to re-loom the harness under the dash so now would be a good time. The old harness looks surprisingly unaldulterated, pliable, and the continuity seems good (that's a mouthful).

You have to move about every wire in the plug that goes into gauge housing.Remove the alt wire, add 2 wires that go all the way out to reg. and bat. block.Change temp sender and oil sender. Its not that hard to do,if you know much about car wiring.

I'll have to get ahold of both wiring diagrams then. Took electronics in high school 30 some years ago, so can follow a wiring diagram well enough. Sounds like a pursuit!
If any one has any links to these diagrams or can suggest a good book let me know.

Dave, I’m going to be doing the same swap in my convertible. At the ’05 T/A Nats I talked with Chris Reynolds who did this conversion. I think all that is needed is swapping two wires. I’m sure the steps are in the FGF FAQ’s. You will have to change the oil and temp sensors.

Awesome info Jim, why did I not think to do a search in the Faq'S. I'll take care of the switch while everything is on th table, should be easy that way.

Dave, the wiring isn't bad for this swap. Lots of folks here have done it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, looking at the diagram on the FAQ I was worried, but when I sit down to do the harness I'm sure it will come together, If not "Ah'll be back" May get at it this week but off for a few weeks vacation. YES!
