I have a '69 and am considering upsize-ing to 15" Wheel Vintiques rally II repos.
Here is a link to the wheel info:

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=WVI%2D60%2D5834042&FROM=MG

One reason for increasing the size is that there is more 15" tire availability and it seems like many of the rear drum brake upgrade packages require 15" wheels.

Any potential problems?
Thanks,
Mark

The tire guy will fix you right up. With the wide range of sizes to choose from you will get exactly what you need. It would be good to have an idea what diameter tire would be perfect on your car before you go tire shopping. I bet a 235 will fit perfectly if you have a stock height.

Thanks Jim,

That sounds like a good number, I have a posting pasted below from someone running 15" with 235s:
______________________________________________

. . . I have 15-7 wheels with 235/ 60 on now they are 26.1in tall and hit the fender lips a little on big dips. I thought if I used 225/60 14 at 24.7 tall I could gain 1/12 in and only lose 1/2in in tread width. They should fit the Rally ll' s 14/6? Also will help drop the nose a little.

This is something I was thinking about today, I am running 15x8's on my 69 convertible. There are 205 60's there now, I was thinking what are some tire sizes that people are running with. I have been comparing the corvette rallies and they seem to run 225 70's. Any Idea's

I have a 69, I'm running P255X70R15 on 15X8 vett ralley's on the rear and P205X70R14 on 14X7 Camaro ralley's on the front
I rolled the rear lip in, still has the same factory rear leaf springs that came with the car in 69, has front disc brakes, The front coils have been cut one coil
you can see how it sits in my pics
