Don't be jealous. It needs work. I have a vision for it. Red Exterior with black interior. I'll have alot of questions for you guys, I just don't know where to start.

Shoot - that's like my sister car! My car was originally Verdoro green, with a gold top. It is a 350, 2bbl, with a 2 speed auto. Currently it's painted black, with a black top. When I bought it, it was red, with a black top, and black interior.

My car had the door ding protector thing on the side as well (before I removed it).

Nice looking bird. I wouldn't be shy about the Verdoro green color - it's not ugly. Red can be too common sometimes, but it does look good in red as well.

Congrats on the new purchase. I bought my car knowing nothing about Firebirds, and have picked up various information (mostly from the people on this site) over the past couple years. Remember - there are no stupid questions, except of course, if you happen to ask a stupid question. laugh

That's a great color combo as is. Red always looks great but I wouldn't change the look of the car the way it is now. Just my 2 cents... nice car, have fun!

Great Car. Don't you just love the smell of an old bird when you get into it for the first 50 times.

Good luck

Pete ,that car looks great, a not so common color combo...
mine is red with black interior , BUT I was looking for Verdoro green...gave up and bought my "resale red".... wink

for what its worth , I`d keep that color, not go red, everyone has red, me included!

But, You`ll have fun! laugh

Congrats Pete! Glad it worked out for you... and to be able to find one not so far from home is always a bonus!

I too was looking for a Vedoro Green car when I found my bird, and while the Blue colors were my second choice... it worked out just fine. But I agree, just my opinion, but that color combo is very unusual, and much more interesting than most.

But it is your car... (doesn't that sound great?) and it is therefore your canvas, and as the artist, you just paint the picture as you see it!

Congrats!

Great looking car.
Careful on those Dunlops. They can be like driving on ice even on dry pavement sometimes. They scared me to death.

Very nice bird!! When I bought mine it was maroon. Cowl tag said, you guessed it verdoro green. I see alot of you folks like it but I have to say Yuck gross! Mine is blue metallic with parchment interior. Where are you in upstate ny? Anywhere near me? On the color issue I vote yes for any color other than it is now!!
