It's a long story (and I will tell it to anyone who wants to hear!) but I would like to install a 1971 olds 350 in my 1968 firebird and I need to know : Will there be any issues mounting this engine? The car had a 400 but that was removed by the previous owner. Will the 350 mount in there?
basically you have as close to a bolt in as you can get. You didn't mention any specifics, tranny, a/c or no a/c, etc.. But if you have a donor with all the accys and bracketry you can mount it with little trouble. Last year a customer of mine had me install a 495 cube Olds in a 69, and other than using non-OEM engine mounts, it was like it belonged there it fit so well.
