Well 3,000 miles new. (Apparently the weep hole is pissing. Even drips while the car's not running.)
So, anything doing is worth doing right.
Can anybody recommend a GOOD water pump and divider plate so I can put this issue to BED for at least 60 k miles?!? Arrgh!
I need a brand and maybe a web site. (No need to go into cast impellers and divider plate clearance etc.)

it may not be all the pumps fault.if you over torque the belts on the bearings will fail prematurly every time.i have used every different brand under the sun with good results.rarely have i seen the bearing leak unless the belts have been installed too tight.

I think Terry may have nailed it.  I recall Scott having belt squeeking issues which more and more tightening wouldn't fix. I've also had the rebuilt pumps fail in less than 15K miles, so I don't buy them anymore. If I were buying a rebuilt, it would be from NAPA. You can get a nice pump from Ames Performance. They also have a stainless separator if you're feeling wealthy.

Good to hear. I got the new pump from Ames last month to put on eventually.
Ames pumps all have the cast impeller which I hear is really important
