Was reading the "oil guage fluctuates" thread and that got me wondering. My oil pressure guage shows a slight increase in oil pressure when I increase PRMs from idle. I'de say about 2 needle widths. I use 10/30 weight oil. Is this normal or an indication that the oil pump is ready to give up the ghost?

That's normal. I don't know if this was mentioned but what usually causes the oil pressure to drop over the years is the bearings get worn and more oil can seep past causing less pressure to build. As a secondary cause, your pump relief spring can become weak and releave pressure sooner. When your pump is shot you will have terrible overheating problems. If you are running in a good temp operating range and your engine isn't 'ticking to beat the band' you should be OK.
