i have a tranny shop installing a new 700r4 tranny in my '68 conv bird to replace my Th350, i was told today that i need a different crossmember, so my question is:

will a TH400 crossmember work ? (on a Ragtop)
if so, does it need any modications to frame holes ?

or

do i go buy the more expensive one from Bowtie Overdrives ?
