I bought a set of after market gauges to install in my '68 and I am wondering what the proper place is on my 350 to connect the mechanical oil pressure line. Is it at the oil plug next to the distributor? Also wondering if it is better to include a T-fitting rather than just bending the oil line. Any help is appreciated.

You should install it where the oil filter is.You need to remove the old "idiot" light and install your new gauge line and fitting in place of. David

I prefer the upper passage location near the distributor. You can leave the idiot light connected as is.

My preference was to keep the idiot light as well - so I will use the upper passage
