Dam Doug, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I'm lucky enough to still have both my parents but my dad's had heart troubles for quite some time now and I know it's just a matter of time so I try to enjoy as much time with him as I can. You really do only get so much time and no matter what it's worth more than any money.
just knowing he is in heaven sitting in the stands cheering you on in the races should help out a little bit. also knowing hes no longer suffering might help.

Condolences Doug. My Father-In-Law went through the same deal a couple years back. A year and a half of suffering with a brain tumor. He also was 59 when he died. Closest person I've had for a Dad since my Dad died in 72. It's a huge loss..... The only good thing about it is his suffering is over now. We must carry on when these great people fall.....
Doug, my condolences and prayers go out to you. Though I have never lost anyone that close, I know how you must feel. Take care friend and pray for strength.
Doug I can truly say I know what your going through. Our family just lost my eldest sister to cancer at 62. She put up a valiant fight for eight years fighting off what finally consumed her.
My thoughts are with you and your family and I'll put some extra revs on the prayer wheel for ya. Take care of the family matters, and as some in the group told me we'll hold down the fort 'till ya get back.
Doug, Our prayers to you and your family. I know what you are going through. I lost my Dad over 12 years ago and not a day goes by that I don't think of him.
I'm so sorry about your dad. I know how hard it is. My father in law was just given 3-4 months to live (lung cancer). He's been battling it for over a year and went from over 200 lbs to probably 135 right now.
My assistant mgr at work is slowly losing his wife to a breathing ailment, it's been tough on him dealing with it. Unfortunatly it won't be a good ending...
