Gauge should not matter..Just dont put a 14 ga. fusable link on a 2 or 0 ga. line.
If yer running 14 primary wire, a 14 ga. link is fine. just dont go below 16 or higher than 12. too thin..will keep closing circuit... too thick..will cause protected unit to possibly malfunction.
I would go smaller ga., not bigger. Same size is fine as the link is protecting the circuit.
