Factory air seems to work fine even in Texas...I dont have A/C ,but friends do....but if you work on your onw car, a Vintage air leaves a lot more room in the engine compartment, makes it easier to change spark plugs etc...and it really cools...had one in my previous car...friends with Vintage air in Birds swear by them...

if you 'show' the car, factory equipment will be a plus..
