My pain from this week is going to last quite a while.
Got my new 455 finished in Feb. Mounted it nice and easy with the tranny attached on a bare subframe. Spent the past couple of months slowly putting the front half of the car back together. A few trials, some customizing, but it ran and I was this close to having it legal for the street. 10 years this car has been off the road.
Decided to take it around the block Thursday. Open headers so I took it slowly. It's probably the 4th time I've had it running.
I blew out the rear oil pan seal. The friggin motor has to come out again.
Old or new style pan and gasket? When you have it out, let me know what happened. May have a few tips for you.
