The light is screwed to the front left corner of the ashtray support bracket (nearest the ashtray opening. The bulb is a 1445 and fits into a totally enclosed metal cap that has a small hole in it to let the light shine down into the ashtray. The gray wire goes up and over the steering column and is plugged into the LIGHTS terminal of the fuse block. It is not part of the main dash harness. Here are a couple pictures. Pete 67 400 coupe
