I was at our local car show last weekend and was running around with a 1969 licence plate on the car. I had the current plate under my floor mat in case I was pulled over....
Anyway, a guy told me at the show that you could actually register these vintage plates and drive with them on! I thought that would really be cool, so I inquired with the vehicle registration office today to see if this was true.
Yes, (in Alberta) you can register your vintage plate from 1967, 68, 69, etc. and drive with them on your car permanently "IF" the plates were ORIGINALLY registered to you. Kind of like re-registering them 40+ years later! Unfortunatley, this isn't the case for me.
Are there any States or Provinces where this is allowed? Anyone running vintage plates on their cars??
