I, like the majority of Americans, lie in the middle. Middle doesn't sell newspapers or boost ratings. The farther left or right one is, and the more vocal one is, the more press one is going to get. I'm not suprised more people haven't figured out that the main goal of the two parties is to maintain the status quo. It seems to me the media has become a tool to help them. I guess editorializing is more profitable than reporting the facts. Question's like Obama's citizenship serve as a great distraction. When either side gets a lot of headlines about the social issue du jour, I like to take a good hard look at what isn't getting covered. Haven't you ever noticed when ever the media starts covering a politician's rants, important issues we should be following just sort of disappear? Unfortunately we have a short attention span in this country. Not many American's could cite how many soldiers we have lost in the past month. I'm sad to say I'm one of them.
This why I have to quit reading political posts...it's too depressing. Can't be go back to the days of a good chin spoiler argument.
