The "repair"? Education. And I mean REAL education, not indoctrination. You know, the OBJECTIVE presentation of ALL "known facts" in a given subject, allowing the student to make up their own mind about the subject. The problem of late seems to be the "objective" and "all" portions are too often left out.

yup, like we had in the 50s.....education with real teachers, tests with scores, resposibility....its a rough world, you wont be prepared for it if your whole upbringing you`re treated with kid gloves.
...and stop lowering the bar just to push students though school. How many successful people are there who maintained a "D" average or lower?
