Automatic assault rifles are required for the general public? For what purpose?
to defend yourself agaist oppressive govt....like they do in Syria, did in Libya...like we did 230 plus yrs ago....with no guns...no revolution...thats why gov`ts love the idea of 'no weapons'...the exact reason we do have the second amendment.... if the Swedsh govt got oppressive (unthinkable), the peeps would have no chance in hell...the weapons you can kill others with , knives (which now are outlawed in Sweden! not kitchen knives) and other 'weapons' wont go far against govt tanks, etc.
look at China, (or N Korea) what chance does the polulation have to 'rise up' against govt??
The Syria people did not have guns. They have been supplied in part by the Saudis and the Turks.
"The Government" is made up of people like you and me, just more self indulgent and corrupt. Why would they personally give a dam if you have guns at home?
