I read this and thought wow, it sounds a lot like what happened to me. Made a deal with a local guy to paint my 68 between jobs. 6-9 months he said and a year and a half later I went and got what was left of my car. I realized that I couldnt handle it and bought a 67 to replace it. I will swap the best parts over to the 67 and get what I can out of the 68. So I'm out $2k down payment and the car is seriously de valued due to his crap hack job. Never again for me. Sorry dude. Pics are of the day I took it to him vs how I got it back.
