Thanks Bjorn. This offset makes my manual conversion a lot easier, now I can use the shifter and bracket that came with 79 Trans Am T10 transmission. Without offset, this shifter wouldn't fit.
I just have to measure the transmission mounting point to make sure that engine/transmission are offset but parallel to pinion.
