I felt it last night and again today around 11 am. It was the first time I had felt a earth quake in my 50 years.

So, does this mean we're going to get a tornado in CA?? (That actually happened once, just a mile away from home, it was small, but was strong enough to tear up a few roofs.
Not to snark or anything, but 5.1?- around here that's not a quake, that's a "reminder"!

If an earth quake wants my attention, it will have to happen when I'm awake next time. I felt the one that occured 3-4 years ago but not this one.

Couldn't feel it in NY. We had one a few years back. I was sure a really fat squirrel or a racoon was running accross the roof.

I felt it...before and after I fired up 515 cubes of blown Pontiac power. You felt it in Indiana? Sorry!

I remember one obout 10 yrs ago here on the wet coast....I was sitting on a rolling office chair at my 'puter...and all of a sudden the desk and keyboard left my fingers and rolled 2 feet away..then returned...(the chair rolled with the quake) hair on my neck rose..looked at wifey and asked her if she was playing a trick onme ...but she was 10 feet away..
Next day I had crackes on lots of moldings and they had a big fissure down by the border crossing, about 5 minutes away...
One of these days we'll get the big one...

One of these days we'll get the big one... If that is the one I'm thinking of it was centered near Kalamath Falls Oregon. I too felt it, I was laying on the floor watching TV and it rolled right under me, kinda felt like body surfing. It wasn't violent just weird.

I felt the one here last year, but not this one. Slept right through it.

Reports it was felt here. I was sound asleep so I can't say. Twenty some years ago we had a magnitude 3+ in NE Ohio. I was driving a 22' box truck up to Akron and felt the truck sway. I didn't think much of it until I saw the news.

I live in downtown Indy, and woke to what felt like a old-school vibrating bed at a scuzzy motel. Fun.
