i am unsure as to what this is... on the driver and passenger side near the feet there is something that pulls out about 3 inches on each side... what is this?
im only 15 but doing all the work on my bird, cant wait to get her on the road!
fresh air vents in a non-air conditioned car. If not rusted, when you pull the lever a flap will open behind the kick panel and divert air from the fender into the interior.

Fire benz is right. The problem is that both have to be pulled at the exact same time by the driver while travelling at 42 mph. Otherwise, they won't work.

If you have a non A/C car you have two sources for fresh air, the kick panels and ball vents. The kick panels have a slide on the panel that operates a damper door. The pull under the dash operates the ball vent damper; it's way up under the dash, and ducted to the ball vent.

Thats on 68's-n-9's. 67's had the 250 RA.
In other words, 250 RA was forced through the cockpit via vents in the door glass,forcing additional thrust on the gas pedal via the drivers foot.
