Hi, I am going to change my cam since I have a lot of the motor apart and need advice. I have a '75 400 with stock internals, stock 6x-4 heads, 600cfm carb, Ed Performer intake, and headers. Choice between Summit's 2801 or 2802. Thanks, Jason

If I am changing the valve springs should I just upgrade to 1.6 roller rockers? Or is that just a waste of money given my setup?

A bit more lift without increasing duration would be good. There are several companies that offer 1.65 ratios.

Forgot an important consideration. Unless you are planning on removing the heads, stick with the stock lifter. Reason being, the pushrod holes need to be elongated for clearance on Pontiac engines. When it's time to get the heads refreshened, then do elongate the pushrod and switch to a higher ratio.

The 2801 has enough lift. The 1.65 rockers may be overkill. You are running a low compression motor.
If you were closer 9.5 CR would the benefits of 1.65 and elongation be worthwhile.
