Spiderman lives in Edmonton and I'm down the road a bit in Didsbury. The Didsbury Show 'n Shine is on Mother's Day and we usually get about 300 cars.

I am building a hospital up in Ft. St. John NW from there but same sort of climate..hovering around freezing (32f) from what I see.

March can still be pretty cool in Edmonton but ya never know. I hail originally from Calgary where it's warmer (OK where's that Edmonton Calgary rivalry!)

That's why I moved to the coast, had enough of square tires in the winter... laugh

I remember taking my old bird out in 40 degree weather in Calgary spring top down just to do it (not my wife the car)

Right now we have about a foot of snow on the ground and the temp is around 0 F. Perfect snowmobiling weather, best we've had for years!

here , got this yesterday, how `bout this for fun?

1926 Snow Tractor

You're not gonna believe this..............Talk about ingenuity!

This is a really neat 1926 silent film (on video) of a tractor-snow-machine invented by Henry Ford, who is shown driving it.

Watch the whole thing. Note the "hat."

http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,213971.0/topicseen.html

Here's 1926 technology that should be brought back - just in time for the next Ice Age!

Looks like lots of fun. Why weren't these still around when we were teenagers? Yeehah!

Now thats awesome! Beats lifting a snowmobile around if you get deadended! May not be as good on the steep bowls but cool nonetheless!

Doug,
Sorry. I didn't see this post until now.
I live in St Albert, just outside of Edmonton.
Drop me an email if you want to get together or if you need help with anything.

As Dave said, you may be working out at Scotsford in Fort Saskatchewan.

Originally they had a 3500-5000 man call welders, pipefiters, Plumbers for Mid march to may.
I've talked to many people who had their paperwork in last year and still havn't heard a thing.
