I have these wipers on my wagon (pics not mine). I cannot figure out how to get them off. Any ideas? They are not like the 67-69 FB's.

They look like the same setup, at the base at least, there is a special tool for it. Just google wiper arm removal tool to see it and most parts houses carry them. I think I posted a pic as well as some others about this issue.

IF i get the question correctly , youre not asking how to remove the arms , but the blades from the arms?
loloks like those either sold as a unit or you just remove the rubber pieces? but in other words , have no clue...I forgot how we used to remove on our 61 car...(that was in 62-63)

These are pics I got from someone else. I have the same setup but I can't seem to get them off the car (at the cowl). I know how to do the 67-69 FB (clip) but these do not have the same clip. It's a special wiper arm. Tried Google with no success.

They look like the ones that were on my 67 Grand Prix. If I remember correctly there is a spring clip on the inside (where the arm extends). Just use a screwdriver on it and lift up. The other small arm has a clip and should be easy to figure out.


Restoring a 1968 400 4spd, numbers matching Firebird Coupe, Verdoro Green.

triplethreat is correct. However, I highly recommend using the proper tool, otherwise you will end up denting, dinging and or chipping the cowl panel. I can almost grantee it! The tool is cheap but makes all the difference in the world!

Got it. There is a small sliding clip to unlock extending arm and then you hold up the wiper arm and pry under the arm with a screw driver. I used a plastic trim tool to lever against so the cowl did not get scratched. I will post some pics later. These "special order wipers" are called articulated windshield wipers.
