I hope you realize you are throwing fresh fuel on a fire that has been smoldering here for a very long time.

Just saying...........

Right up there with the "Firebird" rally gauge cluster above the center console that Pontiac never supplied.

NOPE. Most firebird guys cringe at the idea of putting a Camaro spoiler on a first gen. bird

I bought my 67 convertible in 1997 with the spoiler. It was (and still is) in great condition.

I didn't know too much Firebird history back then other than that I wanted one since Hotwheels came out with one in the late 60s (1968 Custom Firebird). It had the spoiler on it. So mine fit the bill of what I was looking for when it came up for sale.

I like mine with the spoiler, but should I want to go back to original, I have the original parts to do it for the next owner that I may sell it to.

Point is, every owner has their own vision of what they want their car to look like. If it's originality or custom, that great. As long as then don't make it look like that stupid Vegas Camaro (posted on this site somewhere), put a massive home made hood scoop on it (also posted on this site somewhere), or God forbid they put a Chevy or Ford motor in it........

I agree completely, my '69 is certainly not the way it left the factory. My post was just to point out that the subject of the rear spoiler (and the chin spoiler too) really seems to ruffle some feathers here.

I am guilty of one of the other big no-nos to some, the dreaded "buick" air cleaner sticker.

I also have a 400 hood on my 350 but in my defense I did put the 350 callouts on it.
Our cars are just that "ours" and to be enjoyed by us.

So I wonder how many comments I'll get if I modify and install the '68 Camaro door/quarter reveal molding on my '67 vinyl top car.
