Does anyone know which heat riser is correct for a 68 400 ho with factory long branch manifolds? A picture and or maybe one for sale? Any info?

I believe they are all the same. 350, 400, HO, R/A.
Jim C posted a picture last year. He may chime in if he's around. They look odd with the R/A setup because the riser tube has nowhere to go.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Spoke to tech department at Ames. The ones they carry are for standard engines. They said the one for the ho is different. If you are correct Id be interested in yours. Ill see what more info I can find.

I always heard there was a difference but when I look at them I see none. I used a OEM that I got from Franks Pontiac http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/engineparts/pontiacengineparts.htmIt states it is a 68-69 V8 heat stove. It worked and looks fine on my 400 HO.

It looks identical to the V8 that franks Pontiac list from what I can tell. I can't see any differences.

Yes... they look exactly like the reproduction ones ames sells for standard v8.
