WANTED: '69 Firebird_Bracket Console Escutcheon to Shifter Housing.
Item 33 in the attached picture. Must be a 1969 part. The 1968 part is different.

Have you tried Franks Pontiac? http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/ Might be a hard part to find since most probably wont part with it without selling the whole shifter. Will keep an eye out for one.

Thanks for the link to Franks Pontiac Parts. I'll check it out. Yes, I knew going in this was a long shot for the reason you mentioned. If I cannot find the part in a couple weeks, I plan to modify my 1968 bracket to make it work.

Hi frankyboy428, thanks for helping out, but I now believe that my top plate is actually a 1969. It was warped a bit and when I straightened it out, it fit much better. Thanks again, Mark

Did you find a 69 top plate you were looking for? If not I think I have one. $20 if you need it. Let me know and I can upload or send a picture. I'm not sure of the difference between 68 and 69 as you mentioned though so we would have to check to be sure it what you needed.

Yes, mine turned out to be ok. It was just warped a bit. Once straightened, it was fine.
